The existing space has a small metal umbrella to have a smoking bar which is subject to rain and sunshine. We had to create a new structure amidst existing clay tiled roof structure. The decision of using glass was taken only to get the light in as both the side spaces are covered thus blocking the natural light in. It was difficult to marry the old and the new so it was best to create a glass and metal structure to cater to the smoker’s bar. A long bar counter with additional geometry was conceived to accommodate more bar stools facing the greens. This counter, the side stone walls and thew furniture and light selection are the extension of the country look.
